But i am not a masochist and am not speaking to that sort of relationship.  Even though LadyH is a Sadist, i do not enjoy pain except insofar as it gives Her pleasure to administer it.  And it seems to me, especially if one comes from a childhood background where corporal punishment was administered, that it can definitely  have a role in behavior modification.  Let me say right now, that corporal punishment should never, EVER, be administered while in a state of anger or when emotions of any kind are running high.  It should be delivered deliberately, calmly, coolly  and as soon after the infraction as is possible.  It can also be given in conjunction with the learning type of punishment described above.

Yes, corporal punishment is negative reinforcement.  But i believe negative reinforcement sometimes has it’s place, especially when the behavior is of a negative type rather than an error in judgment, an oversight, or similar type of infraction.  It provides a forceful demonstration of the D-types displeasure, allows the D-type to express in no uncertain terms that displeasure and even has a positive effect in that it can provide complete closure to the incident that caused the punishment.  This is the sort of punishment that could be used when the s-type exhibits a fit of pique, for example.  Or expresses displeasure with a D-types decision, or speaks inappropriately or rudely to the D-type.  In other words, it can be used in the case of a relatively minor, behavior type infraction that nonetheless, the D-type wants to quickly put an end to and with little chance of recurrence.  For an s-type from a childhood background that included corporal punishment, this sort of action from the D-type can trigger memories and shadows of emotion long buried that may work better than any other type of punishment in modifying an unwanted behavior.  For the s-type who never had corporal punishment, the shock value alone will provide tremendous disincentive for a recurrence.

Her punishment was a requirement that each time i touch my body, inadvertently or otherwise…any part of my body, lips, ears, hair, face, private parts, whatever… each time i touch myself and prior to the actual touching, i am to think to myself:  “HotchKiss, i touch this body because You allow it.”

i have discovered there are at least three types of touching:  a. Unconscious touching – think of having an itch.  Your hand will scratch the itch without any conscious thought.  b. – Inadvertent touching.  You didn’t intend to touch yourself, your hand just brushed against your thigh while moving about.  c. Intentional touching.  You actually think about touching yourself before you do so.  Washing yourself, personal hygiene, brushing your teeth or hair.  You actually think about doing something before doing it.

So what have i learned.  For one, i’ve learned that we touch ourselves an awful lot during the course of a day, most of it unconsciously or inadvertently.  i’ve learned that if you don’t think of touching yourself prior to touching yourself, it is impossible to recite a mantra related to touching yourself.  There was no way i could succeed at this tasking.  All i could do was the best i can.

But there was a bigger lesson in all of this.  When LadyHotchKiss took me as Her slave….when She took ownership of me, She took ownership of all of me. Mind, body and spirit.  i understood this when it happened, but i don’t think i fully felt  it.  Not deep down in my bones. LadyHotchKiss owns this body.  She imposed certain protocols to reinforce the concept, such as having to sit when urinating, masturbating only with permission, and not touching my genitals except for personal hygiene purposes.    She, however, can and does do with my body whatever pleases Her.  She owns it.  The flip side of that though, is that i no longer own this body.  i can only do with it that which She allows me to do with it.  No more and no less. Taking Her mantra to heart, i have come to feel the truth of this in a way not previously felt.

She has excused, at times, a failure on my part to sit when urinating, especially if i were in a public and dirty restroom.  And in the past, i have fudged a bit on not touching my genitals except for hygienic purposes. (my showers had become longer and longer, and my genitals extra squeaky clean) But after this exercise, this “punishment”…no more.  If the restroom i’m in is dirty and i can’t clean the toilet seat, i will hover over it as women have to do, or i will find a cleaner rest room.  My showers will take no longer than necessary and my genitals will be no cleaner than the rest of me when i am done.

This body belongs to Her and i will treat it as such.  Taking care of it to the best of my ability, not abusing it, and using it only in ways allowed and approved by Her.  The path She has set me on is taking me ever deeper into slavery, and i revel in it.

my most recent foray into subspace was just yesterday, so i felt i should write about this while it’s fresh in my mind  (i can’t be sure that i have even yet completely come out of subspace as i still feel a bit euphoric).   i can only relate my own episodes, of course, so others may have differing experiences, but coming out of subspace for me seems to follow a pattern.  LadyHotchKiss doesn’t always send me into subspace, and how deeply i go depends largely on Her ministrations as well.  Yesterday i was well and truly into subspace, but not quite as deeply as i’ve been in the past.

While i enter into subspace during heavy “play” sessions, it actually deepens during the initial stages of aftercare.  Aftercare is where i can relax, knowing i am being tended to and cared for.  The relaxation itself sends me deeper still into subspace.  i know the session is over and there will be no further pain.  i know i don’t have to worry about anything at all, and can just drift with it and experience it fully.  There is the key to subspace…not thinking about what happened or how you feel, but just letting go completely and actually experiencing how you feel, without thinking about it.  It is a very pleasant, drifting sensation as you “visit” each part of your body affected by the session.  After a time (which varies depending on how deep i have gone), awareness begins to return.  The first thing i become aware of is LadyH cradling and comforting me while i am wrapped in a blanket.  Then, one by one, all the sore spots begin to make their presence known, but not in a bad way.  There is still the pleasant, drifting sensation, but with the additional awareness of one’s personal space.

At this point LadyH will usually lead me to a chair.  i think the primary purpose of this is to see how well i can navigate and gauge my level of awareness.  She will continue to touch and caress me, and after a time will begin to engage me in small talk, and then actual conversation.  At this point, i am able to function again, but am still in some degree of subspace which will likely stay with me at least the rest of the day.  For  the next few hours, i will not want to think too hard about much of anything, so any tasks i have before me should be of a rote nature, where i can more or less go on “automatic pilot”.  We generally session in the late morning and it’s followed by lunch, where my recovery continues.  By the time i am ready to leave Her (usually to go to work), i can focus as necessary to complete any tasks i may have, but i still have a very “rosy” outlook.  All is right with the world and nothing bothers me.  i am basking in the afterglow of the session and of being in Her presence and care.

i have noticed that for a period of up to a couple of weeks, my disposition is always better after i’ve been in subspace.  If i go too long without subspace, i return to my ordinary disposition, which is usually a happy one but susceptible, as most are, to moods, minor irritations, and so forth.  For a good long while after subspace, nothing much bothers me at all and i am in good humor almost all the time.  This manifests itself in all facets of my life…even work becomes more pleasant, and i am certainly more eager to see and serve LadyH in whatever capacity i may.  Don’t get me wrong, She always gets first crack at all of my spare time as is Her right (as loyal readers will recall, i am a part-time slave), but in the afterglow of subspace, it is even more eagerly sought by me.

As an Owner and a Domme, there are none better than LadyHotchKiss.  But that does not give you Her complete picture as She is also a Sadist.  It is a separate and distinct part of Her personality, something She brings to the relationship as an addition to rather than a part of Her Dominance. As a slave, i am also submissive.  And that too, is a distinct and separate part of who i am and what i bring to a relationship.  One can be a slave without being submissive.  One can be submissive without being a slave.  i am a slave who also happens to be submissive.  As a slave, i work in Her House making minor repairs, cleaning, etc.  Whatever needs to be done at the time, i do. But as a submissive, i need to cede control to Her and there is no time where that control is more fully given, nor fully taken, than during a “play” session.  It is then that my freedom is totally taken from me, whether i’ve been hung on the St Andrews cross, chained to Her table, or simply given an order to not move while She kicks me in the crotch, i am under Her complete control.  It is that level of control that is only attained during O/our sessions and it is that level of control which i “need” to give up on at least an occasional basis in order to meet my needs as a submissive.
All of this is to say that O/our “play” sessions, are not play at all.  They are exercises in that which each of U/us needs.  They are Her outlet for Her sadism, they are my outlet for my ceding control.  To allow Her to hurt me is a service to Her that i give freely or that She takes, depending on which side of the coin one is looking at.  Serving Her is my purpose when i am with Her.  i do not and never have enjoyed pain.  i do enjoy serving Her, i do enjoy bringing Her pleasure, i do enjoy providing that outlet for Her sadism.  And for myself, i enjoy the results of the endorphin release which only She has ever brought about.  But accepting Her pain is anything but “play”.  When i know that O/our session is to be about pain, i dread approaching Her House, but i could no more not approach, than i could stop breathing.  During our sessions, when i am moaning, whimpering, or screaming, i am thinking only to hang on until it is over, as i know it will eventually be over.  After our sessions, i glory in Her aftercare, knowing that i have pleased Her, and reveling in the subspace She has provided.

No, these are not “play” sessions…for me, they are service sessions.

Ball Torture (BT) refers to a range of techniques to cause sensation, discomfort and pain in the male testicles and scrotum. Common examples are squeezing with hands, slapping and beating with hands and other objects, crushing using various vice-like devices and applying pressure with bindings, straps and weights are favorite techniques. Often found in conjunction with cock torture (CT), thus CBT.

What to Use

Hands are the obvious weapons: precisely controllable and always available. Slap (gently), punch (more gently), or flick with fingertips, and carefully squeeze with the fingers. Get the balls in the bottom of the scrotum, then twist the scrotum around above them to prevent them slipping out of your fingers.

Probably the second most popular items are ball bondage toys. Cords, ropes, laces and bandages can all be wrapped in various ways around the balls to stretch the scrotal skin, force balls apart or together and put pressure on individual balls. A classic basic tie is a loop around the base of both cock and balls, a loop around the neck of the scrotum and then a loop between the balls to force them apart. Leather and fetish shops usually have a range of (usually leather, sometimes rubber or neoprene) toys with various arrangements of straps purpose made for ball bondage, for example:

Cock and ball straps and dividers anchor the balls in place round the root of the scrotum and cock and pass around the scrotum vertically to separate the balls. Ball stretchers are straps of various sizes that go around the top of the scrotum horizontally, forcing the balls down into the stretched sac. Alternatives are bandages, ropes or leather thongs which can be gradually wrapped round to increase the pressure. Just a modest strap around the top of the scrotum will have the additional effect of trapping the balls and preventing them slipping out of range.

Parachutes are parachute-shaped devices with a hole in the middle for the scrotum to pass through, with the parachute itself resting on top of the balls. Ball weights are then hung from chains below the parachute. Weights can also be hung from arrangements of chain or rope. Be very careful with weights: some men can work up to hanging quite large weights from their balls, but there is some danger to the practice. Weights of 500g-1.5kg (1-3 lbs) should be enough to give sensation and be safe. As well as weights, light objects that move can be hung from balls. A London top has experimented with dangling a spherical jumping toy from Toys R Us in a string bag attached to ball bindings or parachute.

Crushing the balls can be achieved with various clamps or bondage equipment like cling film (saran wrap) or elastic bandages (Ace bandages). DeBlase says he has read “of an American Indian torture that involved soaking a piece of rawhide and then sewing it up to tightly encase a victim’s scrotum. As it dries, it shrinks, increasing pressure” (1993:17). He also speculates about experimenting with an inflatable blood pressure cuff, and suggests putting gravel inside the elastic bandages to add abrasion to the repertoire of ball techniques.

Toys for beating need to be fairly light and delicate. An ordinary pencil is quite adequate, especially for rapid light strokes on a well-secured ball. Some people use a small, soft cat o’nine tails called a ball whip. One source of hard objects suitable to the task is music shops: try bell-beaters designed for playing hand-held cowbells, or mallets topped with dense rubber balls of the sort used to play glockenspiels and chime bars!

Other specialist techniques could be applied to the balls. See elastrators, electricity, play piercing, shaving.

Health and Safety

The key thing to remember is that levels of tolerance vary enormously. When you’re playing with anyone new, always start out lightly with any kind of stimulation to the balls and increase the intensity gradually. With an established partner or in “self-abuse,” you can safely begin at a higher level and move faster, but you should still be very sensitive to his (or your own) reactions as you go along. Probably the single most important danger signal in this area is intense and often rapidly increasing pain, so the bottom must be able to let the top know unmistakably when he’s had enough. In the vast majority of cases, a bottom whose consciousness is not dulled by alcohol or drugs will have no difficulty in distinguishing between a level of pain that is erotically stimulating and pain that signals real damage.

While even a heavy, experienced masochist is almost certain to beg for relief well before damage is done through steady pressure alone, if you have any doubt whether you’re injuring him, stop.

Ball stretchers aren’t hazardous within reasonable limits, but don’t get impatient and overdo. Begin with a narrow stretcher band and work up to wider ones gradually, carefully monitoring the bottom’s (or your own) acceptance of the increasing pressure. Do not leave the any genital bindings on too long and certainly not overnight – a good rule of thumb is to remove them every 20 or 30 minutes and allow the circulation to return to normal for a while. Much more potentially hazardous is any bondage in which the balls are tied to something else, such as another part of the body or a hook on wall or floor, and might be yanked by a sudden movement: for instance, if you tie a rope or attach a chain between his ankles and his scrotum so that if he tries to move his legs he pulls on his balls. Don’t combine this kind of bondage with any other strong stimulation that might cause him to yank on his balls involuntarily, in reaction to pain elsewhere, unless he’s otherwise so tightly restrained he cannot move enough to put pressure on them. And never tie someone by the balls to a wall, post, etc. in a standing position without additional support: he could lose his balance or feint and put his whole body-weight on them.

The most common injuries to the balls during genitorture are abrasions (usually from rough-surfaced bindings, such as rawhide or scratchy rope), bruises (usually from slapping or whipping the balls), and tiny cuts (which might happen in any rough play when the scrotum is pulled tight over the balls, or during a shaving), minor injuries best treated with sensible first aid such as cleaning with antiseptic. Bruises generally heal by themselves, though an ice pack can limit swelling. Medical intervention is not usually necessary unless the bruising doesn’t fade normally or you suspect an infection.

More serious is a hematoma, which occurs when an injury ruptures larger, deeper blood vessels and a pool or pocket of blood forms between layers of tissue, such as between the scrotum and the balls. The pocket of blood will generally clot in a short time and form a hard mass. Externally, it will appear as a firm, bulging, or swollen area. A small hematoma will usually be reabsorbed without lasting damage. One that is large or keeps growing (because fresh blood keeps accumulating) can “squeeze” adjacent structures, including nerves and blood vessels, reducing circulation to the area and impairing sensation and other functions. If the pressure of a large hematoma is not relieved, permanent damage can result. Prompt medical attention is indicated.

In men who are predisposed to them, minor injuries to the balls can precipitate subsequent swellings, called hydroceles or spermatoceles, in which fluids other than blood build up in the space around the testicles. They can be corrected at one’s convenience unless they become infected, in which case prompt treatment is required. Another problem to watch out for is an epididymal cyst; this is not typically caused by trauma but if you notice any unexplained swelling or mass in your partner’s scrotum, or your own, do not engage in such play until you know it is harmless or have it corrected. Also, avoid ball bondage entirely with anyone who has a scrotal hernia.

Probably the most serious damage that might occur to the balls during erotic genitorture — which is not to say that it’s likely — is rupture of a testicle. This is when the outer covering of the ball splits and allows the contents to spill out into the scrotal sac. Besides causing extreme pain, often accompanied by nausea, a ruptured testicle will make the scrotum swell rapidly, and internal bleeding will nearly always create a large hematoma. The ballsac will appear black and blue and be massively enlarged. If this happens, go to an emergency room immediately! The most likely causes are suddenly yanking on the balls or hitting them with a heavy, blunt instrument. Symptoms similar to rupture occur in cases of testicular torsion, which is when the spermatic cords and vessels that suspend the testicle within the scrotum become twisted or kinked, interrupting the normal flow of blood, etc. There will be intense pain, and the scrotum will swell rapidly and be extremely tender to the touch. Our session started, as always, by LadyH instructing me to go to the dungeon and get naked. She had told me She was going to use all the new toys She had accumulated since DomCon, including the humbler. When i got downstairs, the first thing i did was go to the humbler and pick it up. Please keep in mind that the dungeon is the coldest room in the house and the space heater down there doesn’t really do a lot to help that.  But it does provide a warm surface. When i picked up the humbler, i was stunned to feel how cold the damn thing was!  It felt as though it had just come out of the freezer and just about that time, i had my brainstorm!  i could place the humbler atop the space heater and warm it up a bit before LadyH came down!!! What a grand idea!!!  And so, i did. i put it on the heater, left it there for a bit, then turned it over and let the other side warm up a bit. After awhile, i heard LadyH coming downstairs and so, i picked up the humbler to replace it and was totally shocked at how warm it had become.  Just as aluminum cools quickly and completely, it also warms quickly and completely. There was nothing i could do but put the humbler back in it’s place and hope it cooled at least a bit before LadyH picked it up and discovered what i had done.

Wouldn’t you know it, the first thing LadyH did was go directly to the humbler and pick it up.  There came a look across Her face that is difficult to describe.  Kind of like a cross between puzzlement, humor and anger.  She then glanced down at the space heater, and back up at me. “You put this on the heater didn’t you?”, She asked.  At that point, i couldn’t help myself…it must have been a nervous reaction as i burst out laughing.  She took it in good humor, thankfully, but promptly put the device into the refrigerator (perhaps it was the freezer, i couldn’t see from where i was) and then, while it was cooling, attached me to the St Andrew’s Cross and proceeded to administer CBT in a most painful way while waiting for the humbler to cool.  Apparently the refrigerator wasn’t working fast enough, so She then put the humbler outside to cool some more, while She continued to work my balls over. CBT has long been an affectation of Hers, but lately She has been concentrating more on the balls than usual and more painfully so.  After a longish period (please don’t ask how long….when one’s balls are being tortured the only concept of time that enters the mind is “how much longer?”), She retrieved the humbler and, at long last, i had my first experience with that devious device.  Let me just say this.  i am very fortunate indeed that She kept me on the cross rather than getting me down and making me move about, or worse yet, stand up.  i can readily see the potential for using this device in conjunction with predicament bondage, where the wrong move will force a pulling on the balls.  i suspect, however, that the humbler will not be used overmuch in the House of HotchKiss.  LadyH, i think, prefers Her balls and cock to be free-moving as She administers to them.
